Learners' Notes
Sor's Opus 35 No.2 is a fairly simple study in the key of C major.
It's in two musical sections: A and B. Section A is eight bars long and is repeated. Section B is 16 bars long and is also repeated. A key change from C major to G major is briefly established at bars 15-16 but immediately cancelled and C major is again the key. The B section also contains the whole A section from bar 17 with an alternate ending the second time through. The rhythm is straightforward three-beat groupings, and the time signature of 3/8 (three-eight) means that one eighth note equals one beat in duration. Choose a suitable tempo to give it a happy, carefree sound.
