Musical Features
Key
E minor is the home key but not the only key. The second section hints at various related keys including A minor and B major before the first section comes back in modified form at bar 18 in the home key of E minor. The modifications are needed to ensure a natural return to E minor, instead of B7 as happens in the first section.
Timing Matters
The metre is simple triple throughout and very straightforward. The small grace notes at the start should be played very briefly on the beat and pulled off to the note they're decorating.
