Waltz No.3 in E Minor is the third guitar 'waltz' from Carulli's Opus 241, a well-known classical guitar teaching publication that contains many simple but popular pieces.
There are four 8-bar sections in this Waltz in E minor: A, B, C & D. Notice the repeat signs separating each section, so be sure to repeat each section before starting the next one. At the D.C. al Fine sign (after having repeated section D), go back to the start and play through, this time ignoring the repeat signs, to the Fine sign at the end of section B. The playing order of sections is:
A A B B C C D D A B
The principal or 'home' key is, as the title confirms, E minor, which is the key of the first two sections. The other two sections are in the relative major key, G major. Both keys, E minor and G major use the same 'single sharp (F#) key signature, but minor keys also usually make use of the raised 7th scale note, which is D raised to D# in the case of the key of E minor.
